Great Sports is seeking energetic, dependable, and experienced youth sports coaches for our after-school soccer and basketball programs. We are accepting applications from coaches with experience in either sport, but preference will be given to candidates who are comfortable coaching both soccer and basketball. Our programs take place on elementary and K-8 school campuses during after-school hours.

Responsibilities:

Lead organized, age-appropriate soccer and/or basketball practices. Teach fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment. Supervise students from arrival through dismissal. Arrive on time and prepared with an organized practice plan. Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and Great Sports management. Properly maintain and account for company equipment. Attend occasional games, events, meetings, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

Experience playing or coaching soccer, basketball, or both. Previous experience working with elementary-aged children strongly preferred. Dependable transportation and availability during weekday afternoons. Strong communication, leadership, and classroom-management skills. Professional, energetic, patient, and responsible. Must be willing and able to complete the required background-screening process.

Preferred Candidate:

The ideal candidate has experience coaching both soccer and basketball and is available to work at multiple school locations. However, qualified candidates specializing in only one of the two sports are encouraged to apply.

Schedule:

Weekday afternoons Programs generally take place between school dismissal and early evening. Additional opportunities may be available for Saturday games and special events.
