In this energetic role, you will support the head coach in planning and executing engaging training sessions, fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and sportsmanship. Your passion for sports and coaching will help nurture confident, disciplined players while promoting healthy physical activity and fun. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain coaching experience, work with children, and contribute to a vibrant athletic community. Duties Assist in planning and leading soccer practices tailored to various skill levels and age groups Support the head coach in developing training drills that improve technical skills, teamwork, and game strategy Encourage good sportsmanship, positive behavior, and teamwork among players Monitor player safety during practices and games, ensuring adherence to safety protocols Provide individual feedback to players on their performance and areas for improvement Help organize team events, games, and tournaments to promote team spirit and community engagement Maintain equipment and ensure the playing field is safe, clean, and ready for activities Experience Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is highly desirable Lifeguard experience or background in swimming, martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), cheerleading, climbing or other physical activities is a plus Experience working with children or in childcare settings demonstrates strong behavior management skills Knowledge of basketball, cheerleading, or other team sports enhances coaching versatility Familiarity with health clubs or gym environments supports understanding of fitness fundamentals Ability to communicate effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels is essential Previous experience in teaching physical education or sports coaching will help you succeed in guiding young athletes toward their goals
