Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Youth Basketball Coach for Parties and Events! In this energetic role, you will lead engaging basketball activities and sports-themed games during birthday parties, school events, and community gatherings. Duties Lead basketball drills, games, and mini-tournaments tailored to children's age groups during parties and events Organize sports-related activities such as cheerleading routines, soccer drills, or martial arts demonstrations to diversify entertainment options Ensure the safety of all participants by supervising activities closely and managing behavior effectively Communicate clearly with children and parents to explain game rules, event schedules, and safety guidelines Maintain equipment such as basketballs, cones, mats, and safety gear like AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) on-site Manage event setup and cleanup to ensure a smooth flow of activities and a positive experience for all attendees Collaborate with event coordinators to customize activities based on client preferences and age-specific needs Experience Prior experience working with children in sports coaching, physical education, or recreational settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of basketball fundamentals and sports-specific training instruction Experience leading team activities such as soccer coaching, cheerleading, martial arts (Karate, Judo), or climbing is advantageous Strong communication skills with the ability to engage children effectively and liaise confidently with parents and clients Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; AED operation training is a plus Background in sports team leadership or health club environments enhances your ability to manage group dynamics successfully Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote positive participation in high-energy settings This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about youth development through sports.
