In this paid position, you will lead youth teams, foster teamwork, and promote a love for sports while ensuring a safe and positive environment. Your enthusiasm and sports expertise will motivate children to improve their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game of soccer. This role is perfect for someone passionate about coaching, working with children, and promoting healthy activity through sports. Duties Plan and deliver age-appropriate soccer training sessions that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship Lead youth teams during practices and games, providing clear instructions and encouragement to players of all skill levels Monitor safety on the field, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols including AED operation and first aid procedures Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about team progress, schedules, and player development Manage behavior on the field by applying positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and inclusive environment Collaborate with other coaches and staff to organize tournaments, events, and team activities that promote engagement and fun Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and safety incidents Requirements Prior experience in soccer coaching or sports-specific training instruction is essential Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse ages and backgrounds Strong communication skills to connect with young athletes, parents, and team staff Knowledge of sports coaching techniques including team leadership, skill development, and behavior management Certifications in first aid, CPR (including AED operation), and health/safety protocols are required or must be obtained upon hire Experience working in youth sports programs or health clubs is highly desirable Background in martial arts such as karate or judo, or experience in swimming or cheerleading is a plus for versatile coaching skills Ability to lead activities involving climbing or other physical education exercises is advantageous Join us in shaping the next generation of athletes!
