Part-Time, Contract | Seasonal, through April About GSI Global Sports Institute (GSI) is a premier youth sports organization committed to developing confident, disciplined, and competitive athletes. Our volleyball program focuses on long-term athlete development, strong fundamentals, teamwork, and a positive, growth-focused environment. Position Overview GSI is seeking a Head Coach for one of our youth travel volleyball teams. This part-time role with monthly compensation is ideal for an energetic, dependable coach who enjoys mentoring young athletes and competing in a team-focused environment. This position includes evening practices three times per week and weekend travel to in-state and out-of-state tournaments. Key Responsibilities Plan and lead 2 evening practices per week focused on skill development, team systems, and game strategy Coach the team at weekend tournaments . Developmental team will have 4 tournaments per season. Foster a positive, structured, and supportive team culture Communicate clearly and professionally with athletes, parents, and GSI staff Collaborate with assistant coaches and program leadership Support player growth aligned with GSI standards and values Attend required meetings, trainings, and evaluations Qualifications Prior volleyball coaching experience (club, school, or comparable level required) Prior collegiate or professional volleyball playing experience required Experience working with youth athletes Availability for evening practices and weekend travel tournaments Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to serve as a positive role model for young athletes Compensation & Opportunities Monthly contract payout (based on experience) Additional income opportunities through private lessons Potential for expanded roles within the club
