The Miami FC Academy is home to hundreds of youth soccer players through various community programs in South Florida. The academy's objective is to develop a strong connection between the community and the club by providing meaningful experiences through youth soccer while nurturing and promoting local talent from our grassroots program through our first team. In the 2024 season, 5 local academy players signed contracts and were promoted to the Miami FC senior team and made their professional debut. Miami FC Academy hosts community programs throughout Miami Dade County. These program are designed for children from ages 4-15 who are new to the game or have little experience in it take part in an educational, constructive and pressure-free, and fun environment. Our Community Youth Programs serve as part of our scouting network and help us identify talent to integrate into our professional academy. The objective of this program is to develop the player's fundamental, athletic and psychological skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sessions for the youth program and other community soccer clinics. Plan and execute age-appropriate soccer training sessions and drills for players ranging from 5 to 16 years old in a positive and engaging environment Teach fundamental soccer skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork, in an engaging and inclusive manner. Attend department coaching meetings and department trainings. Assist with the session setup and maintenance of soccer equipment and facilities. Provide individualized coaching and feedback to help players improve their soccer skills Uphold club rules, policies, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of players. Work directly with coaches of teams of relative ages to develop pathway to academy teams.
Requirements:
At least 1 years of experience in coaching youth soccer. Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate athletes. Ability to manage athlete behavior and maintain a positive environment. Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies. afternoon/evenings availability during the Fall and Spring youth soccer seasonas. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children and teenagers. Passion for working with youth and helping them develop both athletically and personally. USSF coaching license or equivalent Background check and reference checks required. Must be a US citizen or hold permanent resident status.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Fosters teamwork throughout the Organization. Promotes Miami FC Vision, Mission and Philosophies. Plans and manages internal communications and awareness of organizational needs, administration and activities. Assists with special projects as directed by the Director of Coaching and Academy Director.
