Job Description

Overview Fulton Science Academy is accepting applications for Head Middle School Girls Cheerleading Coach. Come join our dynamic team as the Head Middle School Girls Cheerleading Coach, where your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire young athletes to excel both on and off the court. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and lead a spirited cheerleading program, fostering teamwork, discipline, and school pride. As a vital part of our athletic department, you will be responsible for creating a positive, motivating environment that encourages growth, sportsmanship, and confidence among middle school girls. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead engaging cheerleading practices tailored to middle school girls' skill levels and developmental needs Develop choreography, routines, and stunts that promote teamwork and safety while showcasing school spirit Coach athletes on proper technique, performance skills, and safety protocols related to cheerleading stunts and routines Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, behavior management, and motivation strategies Coordinate with school staff to schedule practices, games, competitions, and special events Ensure all cheerleading activities adhere to safety standards, including proper use of equipment and emergency procedures such as AED operation and first aid/CPR readiness Provide mentorship and guidance to students working with children in various physical activities like sports-specific training instruction (e.g., soccer coaching, basketball drills) or martial arts techniques such as karate or climbing fundamentals Requirements Proven experience in sports coaching or team leadership roles with a focus on youth development Demonstrated background in cheerleading or related sports-specific training instruction Knowledge of safety practices including first aid, CPR certification, AED operation, and behavior management techniques Experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings; familiarity with working with students is essential Strong communication skills for effective client (student/parent) interaction and team coordination Background in physical education teaching or sports team experience such as soccer coaching or basketball is highly desirable Ability to motivate young athletes while maintaining a lively, energetic coaching style that promotes fun and discipline Join us as we start our cheerleading program here at FSA!
Pay:
$10.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
