Carrollton High School Freshman Girls Volleyball Coach 2026-2027 School Year Summary of position: The Freshman Girls Volleyball Coach is responsible for leading and supervising the freshman volleyball program while supporting the overall goals and philosophy of the Carrollton Volleyball Program. The coach will foster student-athlete growth, teach fundamental volleyball skills, promote sportsmanship, and assist in preparing athletes for advancement within the program.

The Freshman Coach will be paid in accordance with the CEA contract "Appendix B" Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach and develop fundamental volleyball skills, techniques, and game strategies. Plan and conduct effective practices that promote skill development, teamwork, conditioning, and player safety. Evaluate athletes' abilities and provide constructive instruction to improve performance. Identify strengths and areas for growth and implement strategies to support athlete development. Promote good sportsmanship, character, respect, and ethical behavior among student-athletes. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes commitment, accountability, teamwork, and school pride. Develop leadership qualities and self-confidence in student-athletes. Support the academic success and personal development of all players. Collaborate with the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach to ensure program continuity and alignment of coaching philosophies. Assist with varsity practices, contests, and program activities as requested. Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and other team-related activities. Maintain effective communication with athletes, parents, coaching staff, and the Athletic Director. Ensure compliance with district policies, athletic department procedures, league regulations, and MHSAA rules and guidelines. Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities assigned to the program. Attend coaches' meetings, athletic department meetings, and professional development opportunities as required. Perform other duties related to the volleyball program as assigned by the Athletic Director. Qualifications Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Possesses a passion for developing student-athletes both athletically and personally. Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategies, and skill development techniques. Previous coaching experience is preferred. Experience working with and supervising students is preferred. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, staff, and community members. Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.

Must receive a satisfactory response to 4205-F Authorization for Release of Information and Employee History Check Under 1996 P.A.189 of 1996; MCL380.1230b. Law enforcement background checks with fingerprinting. Personal and professional reference background check.
