Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Recreational Gymnastics Coach, where you will inspire and motivate children to develop their gymnastics skills while fostering a fun, safe, and inclusive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for sports, physical education, and working with youth. As a key part of our recreational programs, you will lead engaging classes that promote physical fitness, coordination, and confidence among young athletes. Your energy and expertise will help create memorable experiences that encourage lifelong healthy habits. Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging gymnastics lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring safety and fun at all times Demonstrate proper techniques for tumbling, balance beam, vaulting, and other gymnastics fundamentals Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development Enforce safety protocols including proper spotting techniques and equipment checks to prevent injuries Manage behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning environment for all children Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any safety concerns Collaborate with team members to plan special events, competitions, or themed classes that enhance the program experience Qualifications Prior experience working with children in sports or recreational settings is highly desirable Knowledge of gymnastics techniques and sports-specific training instruction Certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, or similar health and safety training required or obtainable upon hiring Background in sports coaching such as soccer coaching, basketball, martial arts (including Karate), climbing, or swimming is a plus Experience teaching physical education or working within health clubs or gym environments preferred Strong communication skills for effective client (parent/guardian) interaction and team collaboration Demonstrated ability in behavior management and creating an inclusive atmosphere for diverse learners Lifeguard experience or additional sports team experience can be advantageous This role is paid and ideal for energetic individuals passionate about promoting physical activity among youth. Pay:
$10.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
