The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming and related sports. This role involves instructing students of various ages and skill levels in swimming techniques, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Swim Instructor will also be responsible for developing lesson plans that cater to individual student needs while promoting water safety. Will also be responsible for conducting parent and me group lessons that focus on coniditioning survival tedchnqiues. Duties Teach swimming techniques to students of all ages, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that focus on skill development and water safety. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by maintaining vigilant supervision. Communicate effectively with students and their parents regarding progress and any concerns. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive program that meets the needs of all participants. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills. Qualifications Previous experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard is preferred. Strong background in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or related fields such as karate, martial arts, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or judo is beneficial. Experience working with students in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike. Demonstrated ability in behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certifications if not currently held is required. A passion for swimming and teaching others about water safety is essential.
