The Ames High School coaching staff is looking for an Associate Girls Swim Coach for the 2026-27 season.

Work Schedule:

2-3 hours Monday-Friday for practice. Various nights and weekends are also required for meets.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Assists coaching staff in running a competitive swim program. Attends all practices and has the ability to coach at an individual, small group, and team level. Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators. Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures. Abides by strict confidentiality at all times. Assists with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A current Iowa Department of Education coaching authorization. Concussion certification. Experience coaching swim at the high school level preferred. The successful candidate will: Create a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all athletes, parents, and staff. Attend work on a consistent and punctual basis.
