Late Fall, 2026 Colfax-Mingo High School is seeking an energetic, visionary, and relationship-driven Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for our program beginning with the late fall 2026season. About Our District Colfax-Mingo Community School District has invested over 14 million dollars in facility upgrades, demonstrating a strong commitment to student success in academics and athletics. Our student-athletes benefit from modern, high-quality facilities designed to promote excellence, safety, and school pride. This includes a dedicated indoor hitting facility for baseball and softball located adjacent to the ballfields, along with updated training and competition spaces and well-maintained playing surfaces. Our programs are supported by a proud and engaged community. Position Responsibilities Assist and oversee aspects of the high schoolbasketball program. Develop and implement effective practice plans and competitive game strategies. Promote a positive culture aligned with the mission and values of Colfax-Mingo Community Schools. Support the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes. Supervise and mentor assistant coaches. Collaborate with the athletic department and school administration. Manage program logistics including equipment, scheduling, communication, and organization. Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and IHSAA regulations. Prepare and maintain the infield for practices and games. Qualifications Prior coaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, player development, and game management. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
