Position Overview:
Colfax-Mingo High School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable Head Baseball Coach to lead our high school baseball program beginning with the Spring 2027 season. Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all aspects of the high school baseball program.
Develop and implement practice plans and game strategies.
Promote a positive culture that aligns with the mission and values of Colfax-Mingo Community Schools.
Supervise assistant coaches and collaborate with the athletic department.
Support student-athletes' academic and personal growth.
Manage program logistics including equipment, scheduling, and communication.
Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and IHSAA regulations.
Prepare infield for practice and game use.
Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience preferred; head coaching experience at the high school level a plus.
Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, player development, and game management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or ability to obtain prior to the season.
