St. Ambrose University is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Athletics Department as a part-time Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. The successful candidate will have coaching responsibilities in practice and games as well as assist in daily operations and the recruitment of qualified student athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching:
Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of basketball program, including game-day coaching, training, and recruiting. Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance the performance of student-athletes in specific basketball skills. Provide mentorship and support to student-athletes, fostering their growth and success in athletics and academics. Promote a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required Experience as a player or coach in the sport of basketball preferred. Strong understanding of NAIA rules and regulations regarding recruiting and eligibility. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring student-athletes. Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment and demonstrate leadership qualities.
