Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs volleyball coaching and management activities, including recruitment of student-athletes in a National Collegiate Athletic Association- Division III intercollegiate Men's Volleyball program.

Essential Functions Statement(s) Given that the College is a diocesan Catholic college, will carry out your functions of your position in support of the College's Catholic Identity, mission and in support of Church teachings Develops and implements a sound and effective Men's Volleyball philosophy. Participates in the identification, evaluation and recruitment of potential men's volleyball student-athletes. Prepares scouting reports and game plans. Analyzes opponents and Loras personnel on film. Directs and coordinates assistant coaches, practice schedules and meetings. Monitors student-athletes in classroom and on the field. Monitors the academic progress of assigned men's volleyball student-athletes in the program. Coordinates the physical development of each student-athlete through appropriate condition, strength and practice sessions. Assists in the recruitment, employment and evaluation of assistant men's volleyball coaches. Remains accessible to the media, alumni, boosters and general public to publicize and promote the men's volleyball program. Advises and counsels student-athletes academically, athletically and socially. May recommend the purchase of new volleyball equipment, supplies and uniforms. May represent the College at CCIW meetings. Assists in designing, implementing and supervising strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes in all varsity/recreation programs of the College. Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field.Experience:
One or more years of related experience (playing, coaching, manager, etc.).SKILLS & ABILITIES
Other Requirements:
Skilled in the use of a personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of collegiate men's volleyball . Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association- Division III and the Collegiate Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) as they pertain to collegiate men's volleyball preferred.
