Job Description

The Stipend Assistant Coach-Rugby is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of coaching. Involving recruiting, retaining members, and overall in-season/off-season strategies/programs. Constant (67-100%) Assist the head coach in managing and directing the program. Assist the head coach with all aspects of the team including training, competing, and scheduling. Assists with recruiting including calling and high school visits of prospective student athletes. Frequent (34-67%) Commits to and is responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations set forth for the team, the College, NJCAA, and ICCAC with the utmost integrity. Travel outside the Area V recruitment areas. Implementing off-season workouts. Occasional (10-33%) Assist in the promotion and support of the department. Perform other duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Be able and willing to represent Iowa Central Community College in a positive manner with prospective, former, and current students, clients, suppliers, and the community we share. Help develop an athletics program all can be proud of. Help build strong relations with community coaches and players. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, logically, and coherently, orally, and in writing. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption. Must be able to get along with diverse personalities. Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience. College playing experience is preferred, and coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. Must hold a current Class C driver's license with Passenger Endorsement or willingness to complete prior to athletic season. This position is on an as-needed basis, evaluated year-to-year or season-to-season by the Head Coach of the athletic program and the Athletic Director. •Please upload your resume and unofficial transcripts.•
