Job Title:
Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach Reports to: Athletic Director
Qualifications:
Coaching endorsement, high moral character, favorable example to young people, and any preference would be given to classroom teacher.
Job Goal:
To provide leadership, supervision, and organization of a specific athletic activity, and to carry out the objectives of the total athletic program. To instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success. At the same time, the student shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence.
Terms of Employment:
Compensation and duration of coaching season to be established by the Board.
Assessment:
Job Description serves as assessment and is handled by the Athletic Director as needed. There may be another evaluation tool used but this template serves as the duties and characteristics needed in all coaching positions.
