Required Qualifications:

Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Coaching Endorsement (or willingness to obtain prior to season) Knowledge of dance techniques, choreography, and performance preparation Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Position Summary The Head Dance Coach is responsible for directing and developing a comprehensive dance program that aligns with Iowa high school activity standards. The coach will foster student growth in skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and academic achievement while ensuring a safe and positive environment.

Salary:

$2,568.75 + applicable experience lanes (per district schedule) Primary Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise all practices, performances, and competitions Develop and implement a season plan that promotes skill progression and team success Maintain compliance with all school and state regulations and guidelines Instruct student-athletes in dance techniques, choreography, conditioning, and performance skills Promote character development, good sportsmanship, and teamwork Support and monitor academic progress of participants Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times Attend and complete all required state rules meetings Adhere to district policies and Iowa coaching standards Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, staff, and administration Communicate program expectations, schedules, and updates clearly and consistently Work collaboratively with the Activities Director and school personnel Build a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture Encourage multi-activity participation when appropriate Follow all policies set by the MMCRU School Board Perform other duties as assigned related to the coaching position
