Overview Join Da Diva's Danceland as a Cheerleading Coach and inspire the next generation of athletes! In this energetic role, you will lead cheerleading teams through skill development, routines, and competitions, fostering teamwork, confidence, and school spirit. Your enthusiasm and leadership will motivate young athletes to perform at their best while promoting a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for cheerleading with coaching excellence. Duties Plan and execute engaging cheerleading practices focused on technique, choreography, and team cohesion Teach cheerleading stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance routines with clear instructions and demonstrations Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among participants Prepare teams for competitions, school events, and community performances by coordinating routines and practice schedules Monitor safety during all activities, ensuring proper spotting techniques and adherence to safety protocols Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding team progress, schedules, and upcoming events Maintain equipment inventory and ensure all practice areas are safe and well-organized Requirements Demonstrated experience in cheerleading or related sports such as gymnastics or dance Strong background in sports coaching or team leadership with a focus on youth development Knowledge of cheerleading stunts, tumbling, jumps, and choreography; experience teaching these skills is preferred Ability to work effectively with children of diverse ages and skill levels Excellent communication skills for clear instruction and positive client (student/parent) interactions First aid certification including CPR/AED operation; willingness to obtain if not already certified Experience working with children in sports or physical education settings is highly desirable Background in martial arts (such as karate or judo), soccer coaching, basketball, or climbing can be an asset for versatile coaching skills Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote discipline and focus during practices and performances Join us to make a lasting impact on young athletes' lives!
