Soccer Staff Team Coach We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Soccer Coach to inspire young athletes and foster a love for the game. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead youth soccer players, develop players' skills, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, a passion for coaching, and experience working with children to create a positive and engaging environment for all participants. The staff coach will be responsible for the administrative duties and coaching for a club team (s). Preparing the team will require the coach to communicate with parents, plan and conduct training sessions and coaching the team(s) games on the weekend. The coach will be supported by the Director to assist with the coaching process. Responsibilities Plan and execute age-appropriate soccer drills, practices, and games that emphasize skill development and fun (Practice 3/week) Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship among young players. Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help children improve their technical abilities and understanding of the game. Manage behavior on and off the field, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and promoting positive conduct. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and program coordinators to communicate progress, schedules, and upcoming events. Maintain equipment, ensure field safety standards are met, and prepare materials for each session. The majority of the teams will play in YSSL and IWSL Leagues There will be opportunities to coach camps, clinics and higher level teams in DPL and/or EA League Opportunities to complete USSF Coaching Courses Skills Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching to children or youth. Prefer to have coaching experience with high school, college or previous youth club coaching Strong behavior management skills to motivate young athletes while maintaining discipline. Ability to communicate effectively with children of various ages and developmental stages. Need to have a USSF Grassroots License prior to starting the Fall season
