This stipend paid position emphasizes faith-based values, teamwork, discipline, and skill growth within a positive environment. The ideal candidate will bring energy, leadership, and a comprehensive understanding of wrestling techniques and coaching strategies to help elevate the women's wrestling program to new heights. Role Description The Assistant Wrestling Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in East St Louis, IL. This role supports the Head Coach in planning and leading wrestling practices, teaching fundamental and advanced techniques, and preparing athletes for competitions. Daily responsibilities include assisting with training plans, supervising drills and conditioning, providing constructive feedback, and helping maintain a safe, positive practice and competition environment. The coach will also help with event logistics, such as meet preparation, equipment setup, and transportation coordination, while modeling sportsmanship, academic encouragement, and respect for all participants. Collaboration with school staff, parents/guardians, and community partners is expected to support athletes' overall development. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in wrestling coaching and coaching, with an understanding of age-appropriate instruction for boys wrestling. Candidates should possess skills in wrestling and training, including technique development, conditioning, and injury prevention fundamentals. Candidates should possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with student-athletes, families, staff, and officials. Prior experience coaching or competing in wrestling, preferably at the youth, high school, or club level. Knowledge of basic safety protocols, sports nutrition, and athlete well-being. Reliable on-site presence, including evenings and weekends as required for practices and competitions. Clean driving record

$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
