In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons that promote water safety, build confidence, and develop essential swimming techniques. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire students to achieve their goals while ensuring a positive experience that keeps them motivated to dive back in! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on our community through sports, safety, and skill-building. Duties Lead dynamic swim lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels, emphasizing water safety and proper technique Create an engaging, positive atmosphere that motivates students to learn and enjoy swimming Monitor swimmers closely during lessons to ensure safety and provide immediate assistance if needed Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress, safety protocols, and upcoming classes Maintain a clean, organized pool area, ensuring all equipment is safe and ready for use Enforce facility rules and behavior management strategies to foster respectful and focused learning environments Assist with special events or community programs related to water safety and sports activities Requirements Prior experience as a lifeguard or in water safety roles is highly preferred Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques clearly Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction such as soccer coaching, basketball, cheerleading, or martial arts like karate or judo is a plus Excellent communication skills for effective client (parent/guardian) interaction and team collaboration Certifications in First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), and water safety are required or obtainable upon hire Background in coaching or teaching physical education, sports team leadership, or childcare enhances your fit for this role Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a fun learning environment Experience with health club or gym settings is advantageous but not mandatory Join us as a Swim Instructor where your passion for sports, teaching, and helping others thrive will make waves!
