Taiga Gymnastics is growing — and we're looking for several part-time coaches to join our team for the Fall 2026 season! Taiga Gymnastics is a Nordic-inspired movement community serving children and families across Chicago's North Shore. Our programs include gymnastics, cheerleading, rhythmic gymnastics, Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (AGG), camps, and special events. During this past summer alone, more than 120 children participated in our camps , and throughout the year, hundreds of children take part in Taiga classes, camps, and birthday parties across several locations. As our programs continue to grow, we are looking for multiple part-time coaches in two areas: Cheer Coaches We are looking for 1-2 Cheer Coaches to join our growing cheer program. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity with a few afternoon and early evening classes per week. It can be an excellent fit for a college student, cheerleader, dancer, gymnast, or anyone with a strong movement background who enjoys working with children. You may lead or assist with introductory cheer, fundamentals, and age-appropriate cheer and acro classes. Xcel Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach We are also looking for a coach with a background in Rhythmic Gymnastics , ideally with experience in or an interest in USAG Xcel Rhythmic . We are open to coaches at different stages of their coaching journey. A younger or developing coach can be a great fit for our team, working alongside experienced coaches and helping develop our younger gymnasts while gaining valuable coaching experience. This role may include recreational rhythmic gymnastics as well as supporting our competitive Xcel Rhythmic program. Our Fall Season Our Fall 2026 season begins in early September , with programs launching at: Skokie Park District Morton Grove Park District Lincolnwood Community Center Glencoe Park District Private Gym, Wilmette Most coaching positions involve a few classes per week , primarily during afternoons and early evenings. We are looking for reliable coaches who can commit to a regular schedule during the season. There may also be opportunities to coach our School Day Off Camps, Winter Break Camp, Spring Break Camp, birthday parties, and other special events throughout the year. Depending on your experience and interests, there may be opportunities to: Lead or assist children's movement classes Support competitive programs Develop new class offerings Help with choreography and seasonal projects Coach school-day-off and holiday camps Participate in Taiga birthday parties and special events Grow your coaching skills alongside experienced coaches Who We're Looking For We are looking for people who are: Positive, patient, and encouraging Reliable and communicative Safety-minded and responsible Comfortable working with children Interested in creating a fun and supportive learning environment For Cheer, a background in cheerleading, gymnastics, dance, or another movement discipline is preferred. For Rhythmic Gymnastics, a background in rhythmic gymnastics and/or USAG Xcel Rhythmic is preferred. Previous coaching experience is valuable, but we are also open to younger coaches and developing instructors who have the right skills, attitude, and willingness to learn.
