Weekday daytime, weekday evenings and/or weekends About Kicklab Kicklab is a youth soccer training company based in Vernon Hills, IL, offering soccer programs for children of all ages and ability levels. Our programs range from introducing 2-year-olds to soccer for the first time to helping recreational and competitive players develop their technical skills. We are looking to add energetic, dependable, and knowledgeable coaches to our team as we expand our programming. We have opportunities in three different areas, and applicants do not need to be available for all three. Depending on your experience and availability, you may coach in one area or combine multiple roles to create a larger weekly schedule. Coaching Opportunities 1. Youth Soccer Training - Ages 7-18 Weekdays, approximately 5:00-8:00 PM | Kicklab facility in Vernon Hills Lead small-group training sessions for recreational and travel soccer players. Sessions focus on technical development, including dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, ball mastery, and decision-making. Coaches provide individualized instruction and feedback while creating an environment that challenges players and builds confidence. Previous soccer coaching experience is required for this role.
Responsibilities include:
Leading structured, age-appropriate soccer training sessions Coaching players across a range of ages and ability levels Providing individualized instruction and constructive feedback Creating a positive, energetic and challenging training environment Learning and delivering Kicklab's training curriculum Communicating professionally with players, parents and staff 2. Early Childhood Soccer - Ages 2-5 Weekdays between approximately 9:00 AM-4:00 PM | Local preschools, daycares and schools Bring Kicklab programming directly to local schools and childcare centers. These sessions introduce young children to soccer through imaginative play, movement, age-appropriate games and simple soccer activities. Coaches need to be energetic, patient, engaging and comfortable taking command of a group of young children. Previous experience coaching or teaching children is strongly preferred for this role. Soccer coaching experience is especially valuable.

Leading fun, developmentally appropriate soccer sessions Teaching introductory soccer skills through games and imaginative activities Keeping young children engaged and actively participating Creating a positive environment that develops confidence, coordination, teamwork and listening skills Traveling to partner schools and childcare centers in the local area Representing Kicklab professionally with school staff, teachers and families 3. Soccer Birthday Parties - Ages 7-12 Weekends | Kicklab facility in Vernon Hills Help create a memorable birthday experience for kids and their families. Birthday Party Coaches lead soccer games, challenges and activities while keeping groups engaged and making sure everyone is having fun. This role is a great fit for someone who is outgoing, energetic and comfortable leading groups of children. Previous coaching experience is helpful but is not required for candidates who have experience working with kids in camps, recreation, education or similar environments.

Leading soccer games, competitions and activities Keeping children engaged and making activities inclusive and fun Helping parties stay organized and on schedule Creating an energetic and welcoming environment for children and families Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate has previous soccer coaching experience and the versatility to work across several of these programs. However, we are also interested in candidates who are a great fit for just one or two of these opportunities. Strong candidates may have experience in: Youth soccer coaching Competitive soccer as a player Early childhood education Camps or youth recreation programs Physical education Childcare Other youth sports Most importantly, we're looking for people who are dependable, energetic, comfortable leading children, and genuinely enjoy helping young players learn and grow. Qualifications Depending on the coaching assignment: Previous soccer coaching experience required for our youth training sessions Coaching, teaching, or comparable experience working with young children strongly preferred for our preschool/daycare programs Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals for soccer training roles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to confidently lead and engage groups of children Reliable transportation for off-site school/daycare programs Dependability and consistent availability Ability to pass required background checks and child-safety screenings Soccer coaching certifications are preferred but not required Schedule We are hiring coaches with availability in one or more of the following windows: Weekday daytime: Approximately 9:00 AM-4:00 PM for preschool/daycare programs Weekday evenings: Approximately 5:00-8:00 PM for youth training at
Kicklab Weekends:
Birthday parties and other Kicklab programming Applicants do not need to be available during every time period. Please tell us which days/times and types of coaching interest you when applying. Compensation $20-$60 per hour , depending on previous coaching experience, qualifications, and coaching responsibilities. The wide compensation range reflects the variety of roles we are hiring for and the different levels of coaching experience candidates may bring. Experienced soccer coaches with a strong background in player development may qualify for compensation at the higher end of the range. Coaches who can work across multiple programs may also have opportunities for additional weekly hours and expanded responsibilities as Kicklab grows.
