Middle School Soccer Coach (part-time)

Department:

Athletics Reports to: Director of Athletics The primary role of the Middle School Soccer Coach is to provide a competitive, enjoyable, and safe sporting experience for an assigned group of soccer players. At the same time, they learn individual and team game skills, sportsmanship, and fair play. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide quality coaching and instruction to players participating in the soccer program. Coach an assigned group of children emphasizing skill development, safety, fair play, sportsmanship, and fun. Preside over team activities, including all scheduled team practices and games. Ensure the team complies with the rules and regulations of the New Orleans Athletic League. Assists players in achieving athletic success and fostering individual and team goals. Be responsible for team equipment. Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit. Manage the team's weekly field activities and strategic player drills to teach relevant skills and techniques. Arrive on time and have a practice plan for each practice and a detailed strategy for each game. Lead the team at all regular season games, playoffs, and tournament games. Coach in a positive manner and abide by the code of conduct policy. Communicate with the Director of Athletics daily. Prepare the players for the physical and mental challenges of competitive soccer. Identify player strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback to each player individually. Enforce safety regulations and procedures by supervising players.

Job Type:

Part-time, Mid-November through second week of

February Pay:

Dependent on experience.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday plus Weekend availability
