Our mission is to give every person, regardless of age or ability, the opportunity to become a safer, more confident swimmer. We're looking for reliable, energetic, and caring Swim Instructors who enjoy working with children and adults and want to make a meaningful impact in their community. Candidates with a competitive swimming background and strong knowledge of stroke technique and stroke development are especially encouraged to apply.
Compensation:
$20-$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications What We Offer Paid training in the British Swim School curriculum and teaching methodology Flexible part-time hours Opportunities for professional growth British Swim School instructor rashguard provided Rewarding, purpose-driven work Supportive team environment We will provide Lifeguard and SafeSport certification Schedule Current shifts are: Tuesday evenings Thursday evenings Saturday mornings Sunday mornings This is a part-time position. Instructors may work any combination of these shifts based on their availability. Consistent weekly availability for the shifts you commit to is required. Responsibilities As a Swim Instructor, you will help students of different ages and skill levels build confidence, develop swimming skills, improve stroke technique, and learn essential water-safety skills.
You will:
Lead engaging swim lessons using the British Swim School curriculum, from beginners through more advanced swimmers Teach and demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water-safety skills with clarity and patience Help swimmers develop and refine their strokes as they progress Identify technique issues and provide clear, constructive feedback Monitor swimmers closely during lessons Communicate professionally with parents about student progress Support team operations, including class setup, cleanup, and transitions Participate in ongoing training and coaching to continuously develop your teaching skills Qualifications Strong understanding of proper stroke technique Competitive swimming, swim coaching, stroke-development, or swim-instruction experience preferred Ability to demonstrate swimming techniques confidently and effectively Ability to work comfortably in the water throughout scheduled teaching shifts Experience working with children preferred Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to scheduled shifts Positive, energetic, patient, and coachable Strong communication and customer-service skills Willingness to learn and consistently follow the British Swim School curriculum and safety standards College students with competitive swimming backgrounds are encouraged to apply Join Our Team Join British Swim School and help us create safer, more confident swimmers — one lesson at a time.
Pay:
