This position will support sprint development in the 100m-400m events while contributing to the broader team's physical preparation and competitive readiness. Working closely with the head coach and coaching staff, this coach will plan and lead age-appropriate training in acceleration, sprint mechanics, footwork, agility, coordination, and conditioning. Responsibilities include leading structured warmups, dynamic drills, mobility and flexibility work, and cooldown and recovery routines. The coach will coordinate training with event coaches and strength staff to support athlete development and appropriate workloads. We seek an energetic, encouraging leader who can challenge athletes while building their confidence and enthusiasm for training. Experience coaching sprints or developing speed and conditioning in other sports is welcomed. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to translate their experience into safe, effective instruction for high school athletes and collaborate on track-specific training. Responsibilities also include meet-day support, regular communication with the head coach, participation in staff planning, and dependable attendance at scheduled practices and competitions. This is a seasonal, part-time position anticipated to begin in early January 2027, with final employment dates determined by the school's track and field schedule. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
