Job Description
Salary Range :
$4,200 - $4,500 Working alongside the Director of Track and Field, the Assistant Coach will work with novice through advanced athletes in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump . Responsibilities include leading runway workouts, off-track conditioning, and event-specific drills designed to develop athletes technique and performance. All coaches contribute to meet-day operations. Winter Indoor Season | December 3, 2026 - February 2027 Approximately 20 hours/week , Monday-Friday Practices generally 3:15-5:00 p.m. Meets typically Wednesday afternoons, with occasional Saturday meets No programming December 18-January 4 Spring Outdoor Season | March 23, 2027 - Third Weekend in May Approximately 20-25 hours/week , Monday-Saturday Practices generally 3:15-5:00 p.m. Home and away meets most Saturdays Travel to away competitions required Flexible seasonal commitment: Candidates may coach both seasons or either the winter or spring season . The strongest applicants will have:
At least two years of experience coaching vertical and horizontal jumps in a club, high school, or college setting, or equivalent experience. High school, college, or higher-level experience competing in vertical and/or horizontal jumps. The ability to motivate and inspire high school-aged students and serve as a positive role model. A collaborative and adaptable approach to working with the coaching staff. Availability for a Monday-Saturday practice and meet schedule, including away meet travel.
