Girls Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach Beaver Country Day School |
Chestnut Hill, MA Season:
November 23, 2026 - March 6, 2027
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, typically 3:45-5:30 PM or later, with additional Saturday practices
Games:
2-3 games per week, approximately 25 games total
Compensation:
$7,000-$9,000 stipend About the Role Beaver Country Day School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Girls Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach for the upcoming winter season. This is a tremendous opportunity to join and continue building upon the strong tradition of success within our girls basketball program. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for basketball, strong coaching experience, and the ability to create engaging and challenging practices while building meaningful relationships with student-athletes. Responsibilities Assist with coaching and developing the Girls Varsity Basketball team throughout the winter season Plan and lead engaging, competitive, and development-focused practices Help prepare student-athletes for approximately 25 games throughout the season Support practices Monday-Friday, typically from 3:45-5:30 PM or later Participate in additional Saturday practices as needed Build positive and meaningful relationships with student-athletes Help foster a competitive, supportive, and team-oriented environment Contribute to the continued success and growth of the girls basketball program Help attract student-athletes to Beaver Country Day School, which is a plus Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of coaching experience and/or competitive playing experience at the high school or collegiate level Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development Passion for the game and enthusiasm for working with student-athletes Ability to plan and execute challenging and engaging practices Strong communication and relationship-building skills Demonstrated ability to connect with players in a positive and meaningful manner Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching staff Compensation $7,000-$9,000 competitive seasonal stipend , based on experience and qualifications. This is a great opportunity for an experienced basketball coach or former competitive player looking to make an impact on a strong girls varsity program while helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court.
