None Position Summary Pioneer Charter School of Science (PCSS ) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Varsity Girls Soccer Assistant Coach to lead our student-athletes for the upcoming season. This individual will be responsible for organizing and conducting practices, fostering a positive team culture, and preparing athletes for competitive play. The ideal candidate will serve as a mentor, teaching both the skills of the game and the values of sportsmanship and respect. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and lead well-structured, engaging practices
  • Evaluate team and individual performance to inform coaching strategies
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and disciplined team environment
  • Develop and implement game strategies that position the team for success
  • Promote respect for the sport, teammates, officials, and opponents
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and games
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with players, parents, and school staff
  • Collaborate effectively with the Athletic Director and other coaches Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Ability to connect positively with high school students
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to create a safe, motivating, and respectful team culture
  • Commitment to student growth both on and off the court Preferred Experience
  • Prior coaching and/or competitive soccer experience
  • Experience working with high school-aged students or youth in an athletic setting Special Requirements
  • Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain prior to the season's start)
