We are determined to do our best to field competitive, well-coached teams composed of positive young men and women who, in turn, represent our school with pride, enthusiasm, and loyalty. There is an open position in the Georgetown Public Schools.
POSITION
Athletic Coach, Cheerleading Varsity
LOCATION
Georgetown High School
SUPERVISOR
Principal and Athletic Director
ANNUAL SALARY
Stipend salary per Georgetown Education Association contract.
START DATE
Winter 2027 Duties include
  • Safety of athletes,
  • Writing and supervising workouts for various events,
  • Presence at all games,
  • Coordinating tryouts,
  • Practice planning,
  • Game management,
  • Fundraising and
  • Implementing youth programs.
The coach will also work closely with the AD to ensure all school policies/procedures are being followed as it relates to the athletic programs.
Preferred:
Candidate should have
  • Previous coaching experience and knowledge with cheerleading
  • Experience working with youth athletics
  • Ability to meet the expectations and standards of practices as guided by the MIAA
  • Demonstrates a high degree of energy and a genuine interest in students and their success
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills required
