Job Description
Triton High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Girls JV Soccer Coach to lead and develop the JV program. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, competitive, and educational athletic experience, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic success. This position works closely with the Head Varsity Coach and Athletic Director to maintain alignment within the soccer program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and game preparation
- Develop and implement a comprehensive soccer program aligned with MIAA and school policies
- Teach fundamental skills, advanced techniques, and game strategy appropriate to the high school level
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and respect on and off the field
- Supervise and evaluate student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, athletic administration, and school staff
- Maintain team discipline and uphold school and district codes of conduct
- Monitor academic progress and reinforce the importance of academic success
- Ensure athlete safety, including proper equipment use and injury reporting protocols
- Assist with scheduling, transportation, equipment inventory, and budget needs
- Collaborate with assistant coaches (if applicable) and oversee their development
- Represent Triton High School in a professional manner at all contests and events
Qualifications - Previous coaching experience (high school or youth level preferred)
- Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, rules, and strategies
- Ability to motivate and positively influence student-athletes
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Commitment to developing the whole student-athlete
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Completion of all district, state, and MIAA coaching requirements
