Job Description
Essential Job Functions Coaching & Player Development:
- Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and executing daily practices, focusing on skill development, team tactics, and physical conditioning.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction to enhance player performance.
- Help with in-game coaching, strategy adjustments, and substitutions.
- Foster a positive and competitive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
Recruiting:
- Identify and evaluate prospective student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of AIC.
- Assist with communication and correspondence with recruits, their families, and high school/club coaches.
- Attend recruiting events, tournaments, and showcases as assigned.
Administrative & Program Support:
- Assist with travel logistics, including transportation, meals, and lodging for away games.
- Support the Head Coach with team operations, including equipment inventory, uniform distribution, and scheduling.
- Assist with video analysis of games and practices using platforms like Hudl or other relevant software.
- Help ensure the program's compliance with NCAA, Northeast-10 Conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree required.Experience:
Previous coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of women's soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, faculty, staff, and the public.
- Proficiency with technology and video analysis tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
