Join us to support our masters rowers, youth rowers, or a combination of both for a rewarding part-time job. Whether you can coach 2 days or 5, you can make a difference with our rowers. We are looking for a Head Coach for our Youth program and Assistant Coaches for our Youth and Masters programs. The Youth Head Coach position reports to the Director of Rowing. Assistant Coach positions report to the Head Coach. Pay and hours are negotiable depending on experience. Youth Head and Assistant Coach Roles

• Novice High School (Mon/Wed/Fri, 3:30-5:30pm), beginning early Sept
• Middle School (Tu/Th 3:30-5:30pm), beginning early Sept Masters Assistant Coach Roles
• Learn to Row (Tu/Th, 6-7:30pm, 6 weeks only), beginning now
• Novice (Mon/Wed 6-8pm, Sat 7:30-9:30am), beginning now PVRC is a true community program offering rowing, dragon boating, kayaking, and community events from its historic boathouse in a public park.

Nestled in the lush nature of Western Massachusetts with many affordable housing options nearby, PVRC is housed in a 125-year old boathouse on a stretch of the Connecticut River in Springfield, MA with minimal motorboat traffic. In whichever role you take on, our Director of Rowing will set you up for success with training plans, leadership, and guidance. Your high energy, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safety will lead you to thrive and grow with PVRC. In addition to regular practices, we travel to some regional regattas and host two of our own regattas, plus outreach events which we hope you will be able to attend and support us with. Requirements:

For Head Coach:

USRowing Level 1 completion and USRowing Level 2 in progress or USRowing Level 2 completion and beginning advanced coaching or Level 3 Minimum of 2 years coaching experience

For Assistant Coaches:

• Minimum of 2 years competitive rowing USRowing Level 1 For all:
• Positive attitude and interest in outreach activities to grow the sport of rowing to under-served populations.

Certificates achieved or in process:
