In this role, you will lead a youth baseball team across an AAU or JLS travel league, providing expert coaching, mentorship, and skill development. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help players build confidence, teamwork, and a passion for sports while ensuring a safe, positive environment for all participants. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on aspiring baseball players while honing your coaching skills. Duties Plan and execute engaging baseball practices tailored to different age groups and skill levels, emphasizing fundamental skills and sportsmanship Lead team practices and games, demonstrating proper techniques in hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running Develop individualized training plans to improve player performance and encourage personal growth Provide a positive team environment by promoting teamwork, discipline, and respect among players Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about team progress, schedules, and player development Ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols Manage behavior on and off the field to maintain a respectful, inclusive atmosphere for all participants Requirements Small experience in coaching especially baseball or softball Strong communication skills to effectively connect with children, parents, and fellow coaches Knowledge of baseball fundamentals as well as sports-specific training instruction techniques Experience working with children of various ages in a coaching or childcare setting Background in other sports such as soccer, basketball, climbing or martial arts (e.g., karate or judo) is a plus for versatile coaching skills Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing teams or groups in active environments Enthusiasm for working outdoors and engaging with youth in a lively sports setting Join us to inspire young athletes through energetic coaching that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and fun!
