Job Description

CrossFit Harbor East is looking for an energetic, dependable, and community-focused CrossFit Coach to join our team. We're an inclusive gym where athletes of all backgrounds and fitness levels are welcomed, challenged, and supported. Position Summary As a CrossFit Coach, you'll lead safe, engaging, and effective group classes/personal training while helping create the supportive community that makes CrossFit Harbor East special. We're looking for someone who can coach great movement, connect with people, and make athletes excited to come back. Responsibilities Coach CrossFit group classes, including warm-ups, strength/skill work, workouts, and cool-downs. Clearly explain and demonstrate movements and workout goals. Provide appropriate scaling and modifications for athletes of different abilities and experience levels. Monitor movement quality and provide useful, positive coaching cues. Prioritize athlete safety and proper technique. Create an energetic, welcoming, and encouraging class environment. Learn members' names, goals, abilities, and limitations. Help new athletes feel comfortable and included. Arrive early and prepared for assigned classes. Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and keeping the gym organized and clean. Support gym events, community activities, and member engagement. Represent CrossFit Harbor East professionally both inside and outside the gym. Communicate effectively with members, coaches, and ownership.
Qualifications Required:
CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1) or higher CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain it Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable and professional Ability to coach athletes across a wide range of fitness and experience levels
Preferred:
Previous CrossFit coaching experience Additional CrossFit or fitness certifications Experience coaching strength, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, or endurance Availability for early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends Experience with Push Press Who We're Looking For The right coach is more than someone who can run athletes through a workout. Certification:

Pay:
$23.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 15.0 per week
