Head Diving Coach Chevy Chase Club - 3.5 Chevy Chase, MD Job Details Seasonal $1,000 - $1,200 a week 16 hours ago Qualifications Sports coaching experience Full Job Description The Head Diving Coach will lead and elevate the Chevy Chase Club diving program with a strong emphasis on creating a fun, engaging, and memorable experience for every athlete, while also striving for the highest attainable levels of individual and team competitive excellence. The coach will foster a safe, positive, and energetic team culture where divers feel supported, motivated, and excited to participate and improve. Building meaningful relationships with divers, families, and staff is a core expectation of this role. The Head Diving Coach will communicate openly and consistently with the Aquatics Director, coaching staff, divers, and parents to ensure alignment and trust. Through thoughtful coaching and mentorship, the Head Diving Coach will develop each diver's technical skills, confidence, and overall comfort in the sport while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, personal growth, and a lifelong appreciation for diving.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Knowledgeable of dive experience and form. Strong diver. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education/Experience/Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. At least two full seasons of coaching experience required, with prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. First Aid, CPR and AED certified. Safety Training for Coaches certified or equivalent. Lifeguard certified is preferred, but not required.
