Established in 1892, the Club offers a rich history of providing exceptional recreation, athletic facilities, and a welcoming environment for members and their families. Our dedicated team strives to deliver service without compromise, fostering a community built on tradition, civility, and high standards. Chevy Chase Club is seeking a dynamic, high-energy Head Swim Coach to lead our competitive swim program and create an unforgettable experience for our swimmers and families. This is more than a coaching role — it's an opportunity to spark team spirit, elevate performance, and create a summer our swimmers and families will never forget!
What You'll Do:
Lead and supervise Assistant Swim Coaches Plan and run engaging practices and competitive swim meets Develop swimmers' technique, confidence, and competitive edge Run organized, high-energy swim meets from start to finish (lineups, timing systems, results, volunteers) Build strong relationships with swimmers, families, and the team Partner with the Aquatics Director on program planning, events, and communications Ensure swimmer safety and positive team culture Manage scheduling, records, team systems (Team Manager, Meet Manager, Team Unify), and equipment Champion safety, teamwork, and sportsmanship
What We're Looking For:
Minimum two seasons of coaching experience (supervisory experience preferred) Strong knowledge of swim techniques and competitive strategy CPR/AED & First Aid certified Safety Training for Coaches certified (or equivalent) Lifeguard certification preferred Positive, organized, and relationship-driven leader
