We are looking for coaches who have previous experience leading a competitive gymnastics group and coaching athletes at competitions. This is not an entry-level coaching position, and recreational-only coaching experience is not sufficient. We are especially interested in coaches with experience at Xcel Platinum/Diamond and/or DP Levels 6-7 , although experienced lead coaches at Xcel Gold or DP Levels 3-4 are also encouraged to apply. We are always interested in adding strong competitive coaches to our staff and may hire multiple qualified candidates based on experience and availability. Schedule & Hours Approximately 15-22 hours per week Weekday practices are typically Monday-Thursday, approximately 4:30-9:00 PM Saturday practices are approximately 9:00 AM-1:00 PM Coaches must be available Saturday mornings and at least 3 weekday evenings Additional weekday hours may be available Approximately 5 competition weekends per season , based on coaching assignments What You'll Do Lead competitive Xcel and/or Development Program training groups Coach athletes on vault, bars, beam and floor Teach skills using appropriate progressions, drills and spotting techniques Develop athletes' technique, strength, confidence and competitive readiness Prepare athletes for competition and coach assigned meet sessions Collaborate with our Team Director and other team coaches Help create a positive, challenging and supportive training environment Potentially work with pre-team/developmental athletes based on experience Required Qualifications Previous competitive gymnastics team coaching experience Experience independently leading a competitive training group, rather than solely serving as an assistant coach Experience coaching Xcel Gold or higher and/or DP Level 3 or higher Previous experience coaching athletes at gymnastics competitions Strong knowledge of gymnastics technique, skill progressions, drills and spotting Ability to safely and confidently coach athletes independently Availability Saturday mornings and at least 3 weekday evenings Ability to attend assigned competition weekends Ability to meet applicable USA Gymnastics membership and background screening requirements Highly Preferred Xcel Platinum and/or Diamond coaching experience DP Level 6-7 coaching experience Previous head or lead team coaching experience Experience developing athletes through multiple competitive levels Former competitive gymnastics experience Why Coach at Warriors?
