Qualifications:
  • Previous Coaching experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Supervisory and sports management experience.
  • Clear criminal history check, physical, and drug test required; first aid training.
  • Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Candidate should demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with parents, student-athletes, and the community, and provide appropriate information.
  • Ability to teach fundamental skills and team concepts of football.
  • Plan, organize, and execute off-season, summer, and pre-season training and preparation programs. Knowledge of strength and conditioning practices.
  • Ability to interact with student-athletes of different ages and abilities positively and professionally, promoting character and integrity.
  • Motivate, guide, and mentor student-athletes
  • Oversee game-day operations, including supervision of athletes before, during, and after contests.
  • Participate in required coaching clinics, CPR/First Aid recertifications, and district-mandated trainings.
  • Coordinate setup and teardown for home baseball contests.
  • Assist with or oversee fundraising efforts and booster coordination, as approved by administration.
  • Responsible for assisting the Head Coach with equipment maintenance and inventory.
  • Must promote school spirit.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the staff, students, and parents.
  • Carries out work in accordance with and in compliance with all District procedures and Board policies.
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of this position, which includes sitting, standing, extensive walking, twisting, talking, seeing, and hearing. Occasionally, it will be expected to repeat the same body, hand, arm, or finger motions many times and push or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Performs other functions and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
