- Previous Varsity Coaching experience is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Supervisory and sports management experience.
- Clear criminal history check, physical, and drug test required; first aid training.
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
- Maintains accurate statistics, records, and results of the season as directed by the Head Coach.
- Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
- Upholds performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in this sport and criteria for eligibility in competition.
- Motivates, guides, and mentors student-athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the staff, students, parents, and community members.
- Communicates with athletes using Remind or Final Form platforms as directed by the Head Coach.
- Responsible for equipment maintenance and inventory under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Carries out work in accordance with and in compliance with all District procedures and Board policies.
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of this position, which includes sitting, standing, talking, seeing, and hearing. Occasionally, it will be expected to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motions many times and push or lift up to 50 lbs., such as boxes of books.
- Performs other functions and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
