Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Soccer Coach to inspire young athletes and foster a love for the game. In this role, you will lead youth soccer practices and games, develop skill-building activities, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Your enthusiasm and coaching expertise will help children build confidence, improve their physical fitness, and enjoy the spirit of competition in a positive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young players while honing your coaching skills. Responsibilities Plan and execute engaging soccer practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and fun. Lead youth soccer games, ensuring fair play and adherence to safety guidelines. Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to help children understand game rules and techniques. Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, respect, and cooperation among players. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about team schedules, player progress, and upcoming events. Ensure all activities are conducted safely, including monitoring for proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain organized records of attendance, player development, and game results to track progress over time. Requirements Prior experience working with children in sports or educational settings is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and coaching methods; sports-specific training instruction is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate young athletes and manage team dynamics. Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid are required; AED operation knowledge is beneficial. Additional experience in related activities such as basketball, cheerleading, martial arts (e.g., karate, judo), climbing, or swimming enhances your suitability for this role. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and fellow coaches. Ability to manage behavior constructively while creating a fun, inclusive environment for all participants. Relevant certifications or experience in childcare, physical education teaching, or health club operations are advantageous.
