Recreational Gymnastics Coach Euro Stars Gymnastics Plymouth, MI Job Details Part-time $15 - $18 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Youth fitness CPR Certification First Aid Certification Teaching AED Certification Full Job Description Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Recreational Gymnastics Coach and inspire participants of all ages to develop their gymnastics skills in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment! This paid position offers paid training and an opportunity to teach gymnasts the love of the sport of gymnastics. Duties Lead engaging recreational gymnastics classes for children age 2-15 Follow rotation schedule and teach skills based on progressions given Demonstrate proper techniques for tumbling, balance beam, vaulting, and other gymnastic activities with enthusiasm and clarity Monitor for safety first (no phone use while coaching) Spot skills, which may involve catching and lifting gymnasts Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding participant progress, behavior, and class updates Maintain equipment safety checks, organize gym areas before and after classes, and ensure cleanliness of the facility Qualifications Prior experience working with children is needed! We can train you for coaching preschool/beginner classes, but you need to be able to work well with children! Background in gymnastics, cheer, tumbling or dance for ability to coach more classes Demonstrated knowledge of gymnastics techniques or willingness to learn Certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED operation are preferred or willingness to attend annual onsite training Strong communication skills to effectively engage with participants, parents, and team members Experience teaching physical education or working in health clubs or gyms is advantageous Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a fun and disciplined environment Be able to pass a background check Sound like a good fit? $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 20.0 per week
