Breakaway Academy Primary School is seeking a qualified individual to serve as one of the school's on-ice hockey instructors. Breakaway Academy Primary is a private K-3 school in Chaska, MN, with a 4th-8th grade campus in Eden Prairie, MN. The primary school serves approximately 90-100 students K-3. Our staff places an emphasis on relationship building, high character standards, and instruction that meets each student individually. Students at Breakaway Academy participate in one hour of on-ice instruction daily. There are 2-4 coaches on the ice at all times, and student athletes work on a variety of skills including skating, passing, stickhandling, shooting, competition, hockey IQ, defending, teamwork, and most importantly FUN! A desired on-ice coach will create a positive and fun environment with strong relationship building skills, quality behavior management, and will be a flexible team member with the other on-ice coaches as well as the other members of our teaching and coaching staff. This is a full day position with contract hours from 7:45am - 3:15pm. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Licensure and Certification:

USA Hockey and/or other coaching credentials preferred. Extra consideration will be given to those with teaching experience.
