Job Description

Athletic Performance Coach - Growth Opportunity Crow River Sport & Fitness in Delano, MN is looking for an energetic Athletic Performance Coach to join our growing youth performance program. This is more than an opportunity to simply coach a few classes. We're looking for someone who wants to develop as a coach, build relationships with athletes and families, and potentially grow into a much larger role as our athletic performance program expands. Our athletes range from young developing athletes through high school and college athletes. Training includes strength, speed and acceleration, sprint mechanics, plyometrics, agility, and overall athletic development. You don't need to know everything on day one. We're willing to teach our training system and develop the right coach. What matters most to us is energy, initiative, reliability, communication, and the ability to connect with young athletes. What You'll Do Coach youth athletic performance sessions Create a positive, energetic and engaging training environment Teach proper strength-training and movement technique Coach speed, acceleration, plyometric and athletic-development drills Build strong relationships with athletes and their families Help athletes stay engaged and progressing throughout the year Assist with athlete testing and performance tracking Learn and use performance technology including VALD force plates, electronic sprint timing and Speed Lab testing Help maintain an organized and professional training environment Take on additional responsibilities as your coaching skills and role develop Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Brings energy and enthusiasm to coaching Genuinely enjoys working with kids and teenagers Communicates well and can command a group Is dependable and takes ownership of their responsibilities Has an interest in strength, speed and athletic development Wants to continue learning and improving as a coach Is comfortable communicating with athletes and parents Wants an opportunity to grow with the business , rather than simply pick up a few coaching hours A degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field is preferred, but not required .
CSCS, USA
Weightlifting, NASM, ACE or similar credentials are a plus, but we're more interested in finding the right person with the ability and desire to develop . Former collegiate athletes and coaches are encouraged to apply. Schedule & Hours This is a part-time position averaging approximately 8-16 hours per week , primarily weekday afternoons and early evenings, with opportunities for additional morning and Saturday hours. Hours can grow as the coach develops and our programs expand. Growth Opportunity We're looking for someone who wants this position to become more over time. For the right coach, there is an opportunity to take on greater responsibility for athlete development, programming, performance testing, camps and clinics, team training, athlete and parent communication, and helping grow the overall athletic performance program. As your responsibilities and the program grow, there is also opportunity for increased hours and compensation, including performance-based incentives. Our goal is to find someone who wants to grow professionally while helping us build something special for athletes in our community. About Crow River Sport & Fitness Crow River Sport & Fitness has served the Delano area since 2009. Our training has evolved from general fitness into a comprehensive performance facility serving adults, youth athletes, competitive athletes and sports teams. Our youth athletic development programs provide a progression from young developing athletes through high school and college. We combine experienced coaching with performance technology including VALD force plates, electronic sprint timing and Speed Lab testing .
