Job Description
Get Directions The Park Rapids School District High School athletics is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic program as a Junior High Baseball Coach at Park Rapids High School for the upcoming 2027 Spring season. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the game of baseball, a commitment to developing young athletes, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment. This seasonal position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and mentor student-athletes while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct daily practice sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.
- Develop and implement game plans and strategies for competitive matches.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages sportsmanship, respect, and collaboration among players.
- Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and team policies.
- Assist in the organization and supervision of team events, including games, tournaments, and fundraisers.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games.
- Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good condition and safe for use.
- Attend coaching meetings and professional development sessions as required. Requirements
- Previous experience playing or coaching baseball at the middle school, high school, or collegiate level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check and comply with all school district policies and regulations.
- Availability to commit to the full duration of the baseball season, including practices and games.
