At Christian Fellowship School, our mission is to provide quality Christian education in a community of grace where students are known and loved. We are looking for a coach who will carry that mission into our spirit program by helping student-athletes grow in skill, character, teamwork, sportsmanship, and faith in an environment where you are free to express and share your faith.
Position Details Position:
Middle School Cheer Coach — Basketball Season (Pay for the season = $2,138.00 )

Part-Time, Seasonal — Winter Sports Season The Middle School Cheer Coach will lead and mentor our middle school cheerleaders while promoting sportsmanship, team unity, schoolspirit,and Christ-like character. The coach will provide a positive and encouraging environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of student-athletes during practices and basketball games. Key Responsibilities Practice Management Plan and lead organized, engaging practices. Teach basic cheers, routines, jumps, simple stunts, and appropriate conditioning. Develop students' cheerleading skills while encouraging confidence and teamwork. Prepare the squad for basketball game performances. Game Supervision Attend and supervise the cheer squad during home middle school basketball games. Attend select away games as needed. Coordinate with basketball coaches and athletic staff to ensure a positive game-day experience. Encourage and model appropriate school spirit and sportsmanship. Safety Prioritize student safety during all practices and performances. Follow appropriate safety guidelines for stunting, tumbling, jumps, stretching, and warm-ups. Ensure cheerleading activities are age-appropriate and conducted in a safe environment. Mentorship & Leadership Serve as a positive role model for middle school students. Model Christ-like leadership, character, respect, and integrity. Encourage students to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials. Foster a team culture built on encouragement, accountability, teamwork, and faith. Communication Maintain clear and professional communication with parents, school administrators, athletic staff, and basketball coaching staff. Communicate schedules, expectations, and important team information in a timely manner. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has a heart for mentoring and encouraging young athletes. Has prior experience in cheerleading, dance, or spirit programs. Has coaching experience preferred but not required. Has knowledge of cheerleading techniques, routines, jumps, stunting, and safety. Demonstrates strong leadership, patience, organization, and communication skills. Is committed to the growth and development of middle school students. Models Christ-like character and leadership. Holds current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, or is willing to obtain them. Join the Knights Family!
