Season based on experience About the Role The Hitting Coach oversees all Voyagers hitting and serves as an assistant coach to the field manager. Start date is mutually agreed, with arrival recommended at least one week before the player report date. The Great Falls Voyagers are a professional baseball club in Great Falls, Montana, and a member of the Pioneer League, an MLB Partner League. Responsibilities
- Oversee all hitting coach duties: batting practice, cage work, hitter development plans and in-game approach
- Assist the field manager with day-to-day team operations as an assistant coach
- Help the manager fill the player roster, including identifying and evaluating position-player targets
- Work with the analytics staff to use Trackman, video and scouting reports in hitter development and game planning
- Work with the clubhouse manager to make sure clubhouse duties (spreads, laundry) are done
- Run clinics and camps under a commission structure
- Serve as a team ambassador while in Great Falls, including speaking engagements and social functions
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications
- Professional or college coaching experience, or professional playing experience
- Working knowledge of batted-ball data, video and modern hitting development
- Able to relocate to Great Falls for the full season and travel with the team Compensation
