Season based on experience About the Role The Pitching Coach oversees all Voyagers pitching operations and helps the field manager run the club day to day. Start date is mutually agreed, with arrival recommended at least one week before the player report date. The Great Falls Voyagers are a professional baseball club in Great Falls, Montana, and a member of the Pioneer League, an MLB Partner League. Responsibilities
- Oversee all pitching operations: bullpen management, pitcher development plans, workload tracking and game-day pitching decisions with the manager
- Assist the field manager with day-to-day team operations
- Help the manager fill the player roster, including identifying and evaluating pitching targets
- Work with the analytics staff to use Trackman and other data in pitcher development and game planning
- Work with grounds staff and the club's field contractor to keep all pitching mounds at Voyagers stadium in quality condition
- Work with the clubhouse manager to make sure clubhouse duties (spreads, laundry) are done
- Run clinics and camps under a commission structure
- Serve as a team ambassador while in Great Falls, including speaking engagements and social functions
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications
- Professional or college coaching experience, or professional playing experience as a pitcher
- Working knowledge of pitch-tracking data and modern pitching development
- Able to relocate to Great Falls for the full season and travel with the team Compensation
