Job Summary:

The Head Middle School Cheer Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cheerleading program, including instruction, supervision, and organization. The coach will promote school spirit while developing student-athletes' skills, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship in a safe and positive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and lead all cheer practices, performances, and game-day activities Teach cheer fundamentals including motions, jumps, stunts, tumbling, and routines Choreograph and prepare routines for games, pep rallies, and special events Ensure the safety of all participants by following proper stunt progression and safety guidelines Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behavior Organize and conduct tryouts for team selection Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school staff, and administration Maintain and manage uniforms, equipment, and program inventory Coordinate schedules, transportation, and event logistics with the athletic department Enforce school, district, and athletic policies and procedures
